Patsy "Cha Cha" DiLeo

Clyde---Patsy “Cha Cha" DiLeo, 94, passed away peacefully at his home on August 12, 2026. Born in Clyde on April 21, 1932, he was the son of the late Marguerita and Giuseppe Antonio DiLeo.

A dedicated public servant and proud veteran, Patsy committed his life to country and community. He served during the Korean War and was a lifetime member of the American Legion, the VFW, and the Sons of Italy. Locally, Patsy was a pillar of the Clyde Fire Department for 71 years, serving 64 of those years as an EMT. He also took great pride in his involvement with the Boy Scouts, helping to guide generations of young men. He retired after 42 years of employment at Mott’s.

Patsy had a deep love and passion for cooking, and nothing brought him more joy than feeding the people he cared about. Above all, he cherished spending time with his family and friends. In his later years, "Cha Cha “became a beloved fixture around town, frequently seen driving his scooter sporting the American flag, spreading warmth and visiting with neighbors.

Patsy is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Nancy; his daughter, Debbie; his sons, Nick (Bonne) and Brad (Courtney); and his daughter-in-law, Kathy. He leaves behind a rich legacy of 21 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, as well as multiple nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved son, Craig; and his siblings, Charles, Ralph, Albert, Philomena, Mary, Edith, Nicholas, Joseph, and Anthony.
